Cody Jacobs is a Denver-based vocal coach and music director who works with students across a wide range of experience levels, from those just beginning their vocal training to seasoned musical theatre performers. His work centers on helping singers develop a clear understanding of how their voice functions so they can approach performance with intention, consistency, and confidence.
Raised in Illinois, Cody studied vocal performance at the University of Illinois. He has since worked extensively as a private voice and acting instructor and previously served as Music Director at Roaming Gnome Theatre. His background in both rehearsal-room leadership and one-on-one instruction informs a practical, performer-centered teaching approach grounded in real performance demands.
Cody’s teaching draws from Estill Voice Training and centers on helping students understand and coordinate the voice with intention and efficiency. By integrating mental focus, physical awareness, and vocal function, lessons support expressive singing and speaking without unnecessary tension or strain. Students apply this work toward goals that range from building dependable technique to preparing for auditions and performance opportunities.
At the core of Cody’s work is a commitment to creating a focused, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their voice, ask thoughtful questions, and develop skills at a pace that supports long-term vocal health and artistic growth.
